1. CHAIRMAN'S REPORT
17th April is earmarked as the date for the review of costs for the development of the top site. If Bromley are successful at the pending judicial review, construction could start as soon as September 2000.
Ian Sim (Croydon Council) should be sent any objections/suggestions for the proposed parking in the one-way system. Only 14 spaces have been allocated to date. Parking restrictions are due to be enforced within the Triangle area.
Peter Runacres and Doug Barnes have arranged with Legal & General, owners of the Safeway's car park site, to discuss plans for its extended usage or possible development.
Councillor Pat Ryan has said that interested parties are now communicating with each other on cross-borough initiatives concerning the Triangle.
The Chairman announced that Business Watch would be launched shortly. Matched funding (up to a £600 maximum) is now available to businesses in the area.
CCTV could be started in August 2000 with a possible finishing date of March 2001.

Tracey Gallen, Consultation Manager, London Transport
It has now been decided that the East London Extension will go to Crystal Palace using the Sydenham Spur. It is anticipated that 8 trains per hour will run in between the existing Connex trains. This will be good news for this area as a whole.
There is a large investment programme to refurbish the Crystal Palace Railway Station, which will soon take place.
The Croydon Tramlink will soon open. The Beckenham Junction arm will open later. There is still no information as to whether Tramlink might come to Crystal Palace.
